Team Ruud strengthens the support team

Alex Stober is an experienced physiotherapist who has worked with a variety of top players over the years, including former players like Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Michael Stich, and Gustavo Kuerten, as well as currently active Dominic Thiem. Additionally, he has served as a physio for the ATP Tour. However, in the upcoming season, he will be focusing on optimizing the physical condition of Casper Ruud together with the fitness coach, Marcel da Cruz, and as part of Team Ruud

-Alex Stober will bring added value and positive contributions to Team Ruud in the 2024 season. We are very happy to partner up with him and we are very much looking forward to this season, says head coach Christian Ruud.

What do you think you can add to Casper Ruud as a Grand Slams contender?

-I think he is ready to step it up again. He already has a very successful career and he has decided to become stronger, more fit, and, of course, staying injury free.

How will 2024 season differ from the 2023 season?

-The goal is to stay healthy and injury free. This involves ensuring sufficient recovery, receiving appropriate treatment, and enhancing flexibility.
